We are a latina owned wellness center operating on Tongva land, Riverside CA. 

 

Hello! My name is Sasha. I am a great granddaughter of the Mayan peoples and the daughter of two beautiful people who bravely migrated from Guatemala to New York City. My parents were gifted, intuitive, magical beings who passed down their wisdom and gifts along with their generational trauma and new trauma from being amongst the first of our people to leave their home country. My father died young and my mother raised us on her own. I am also a single mom to two beautiful girls, one of whom I birthed at the young age of 17. I am a survivor of my own trauma and painful experiences. I acknowledge and honor both my struggles and my privilege, as both have shaped me to be the person I am today. I also acknowledge that I couldn’t be where I am today without the help of others. 

 

My passion, purpose and dedication while I exist on this planet is to love my daughters, to honor the gifts passed down to me, break generational trauma, to exist in full transparency and authenticity, to remind you of your power, and to give back to both the community and to educators of different paths to wellness. 

 

I birthed Our Sacred Space Riverside as a space where the community could gather and have access to various different paths that all lead you to the same place, wellness and remembering that you are a magnificent, whole being. My family and I didn’t have access to opportunities for wellness, for many of these places seemed like places of luxury well out of our financial abilities. As Latinx peoples, it was especially difficult to find spaces that spoke our language. As a survivor of trauma, i am very cautious of who I allow near my body. This is a humble space for families and individuals of all financial backgrounds. Where we do things with awareness and sensitivity to trauma, making sure you can feel safe and your boundaries and bodies are fully respected.  This is a space where I hope you feel instantly at peace when you walk in.

Hola! Mi nombre es Sasha. Soy bisnieta de los pueblos mayas e hija de dos hermosas personas que migraron valientemente de Guatemala a la ciudad de Nueva York. Mis padres eran seres talentosos, intuitivos y sabios que transmitieron su sabiduría y sus dones junto con su trauma generacional y el nuevo trauma de estar entre los primeros de nuestra familia que emigraron de su país de origen. Mi padre murió joven y mi madre nos crió sola. También soy madre soltera de dos hermosas niñas, una de las cuales di a luz a la temprana edad de 17 años. Soy una sobreviviente de mi propio trauma y experiencias dolorosas. Reconozco y honro tanto mis luchas como mis privilegios, ya que ambos me han formado para ser la persona que soy hoy. También reconozco que no podría estar donde estoy hoy sin la ayuda de los demás.

 

Mi pasión, propósito y dedicación mientras existo en este planeta es amar a mis hijas, honrar los dones que me han dado mis padres, romper el trauma generacional, existir co transparencia y autenticidad, recordarles su poder y apoyar a mi comunidad. tanto a la comunidad como a educadores de diferentes caminos hacia el bienestar.

 

Yo cree Nuestro Espacio Sagrado Riverside como un espacio donde la comunidad podría reunirse y tener acceso a varios caminos diferentes que te llevan al mismo lugar, al bienestar y al recuerdo de que eres un ser magnífico y completo. Mi familia y yo no teníamos acceso a oportunidades de bienestar, ya que muchos de estos lugares parecían lugares de lujo que estaban fuera de nuestras capacidades financieras. Como gente latinos, fue especialmente difícil encontrar espacios que hablaran nuestro idioma. Como sobreviviente de trauma, soy muy cautelosa con respecto a quién permito que se acerque a mi cuerpo. Este es un espacio humilde para familias e individuos de todos los orígenes financieros. Donde hacemos las cosas con conciencia y sensibilidad al trauma, asegurándonos de que usted pueda sentirse seguro y que sus límites y cuerpos sean plenamente respetados. Este es un espacio donde espero que te sientas instantáneamente en paz cuando entres. Es un honor servir y compartir nuestro espacio sagrado contigo.
